Global health sounds alarm

The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Boss Tadros, announced today, Monday, the acceleration of the Corona epidemic.

In a press statement, the Director-General said that more than 300,000 cases of corona have been reported from almost every country in the world.

Tedros called for the need to take effective action against the epidemic, without only taking preventive steps. The director of the organization said in this regard that "social separation and staying at home are defensive measures against the Corona pandemic, but we have to attack."

This new Corona virus has killed 14,390 people around the world, and infected more than 324,000 in 171 countries since it appeared in China last December, while many countries of the world have been forced to declare a state of emergency, disrupt life activities and impose curfews on the population.

However, the diagnosed cases only reflect part of the actual number of injuries, as many countries do not examine the infection of corona except for cases that require hospitalization, and there are accusations of other countries that they hide the true numbers of injuries for political reasons.
Italy leads the world in terms of number of deaths, followed by China, Spain and Iran, while fears arise that the United States will turn into a new epicenter of the epidemic.

In the Arab world, the number of injuries exceeded 3,140, while more than 65 deaths occurred.

The following are the most prominent developments of Corona in the last hours:
