Corona Virus: Life is gradually returning to France with the commencement of quarantine

France began Monday to ease its 55-day quarantine measures to stem the outbreak of the Coronavirus. With the lifting of part of the restrictions on movement, millions of French resumed some of their daily activities, but taking into account new procedures, including the necessity of wearing masks in public transportation that will undergo extensive sterilization, and respecting mandatory health standards in schools that reopened.

Tens of millions of French people regained partial freedom on Monday, as relief quarantine began and many restrictions imposed to contain the outbreak of the Coruna virus were lifted. Residents were allowed to leave their homes without permits, except for movements greater than 100 km, which are permitted only for professional reasons, for funerals, or for patient care. Similar to hair salons, several shops and businesses returned to work after a 55-day hiatus.

Measures have been imposed to reduce the risk of the epidemic, and to avoid a second wave of virus outbreaks in the country.
