Foreign nationals of countries from and to which Morocco operates exceptional flights, not subject to the visa formality and having a negative PCR test and a hotel reservation are authorized to access Morocco.
After the relaxation of the procedures for access to the national territory to professional foreigners having an invitation from a Moroccan company, announced by the CGEM two days ago, a new major relaxation has just been announced by the Presidency of the Patronage in its members in a letter sent out this Sunday, September 6.
On the one hand, the procedure allowing foreign trade visitors to come to Moroccan companies upon simple invitation from the latter is operational from this Sunday, September 6 instead of September 10 as previously announced.
On the other hand, the CGEM announces that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and MRE, has given a favorable response to the employers' request relating to the authorization of access to Morocco for foreign nationals with a hotel reservation.
"Thus, and this also from this day, foreign nationals with a confirmed reservation of a hotel in Morocco will be able to access Moroccan territory on presentation of this reservation. These procedures obviously only concern foreign nationals who are not subject. the visa formality, "he explained.
Contacted by Médias24, a high-level source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms this new relaxation and specifies that only nationals of countries from and to which Morocco operates exceptional flights are concerned. These nationals should not be subject to the obligation to obtain a Moroccan visa, and must have a negative PCR test as well as a confirmed hotel reservation.
Our source adds that exceptional flights will be maintained beyond September 10.
It goes without saying that this is good news for the tourism and aviation sector as the countries concerned by exceptional flights, now open to nationals with hotel reservations, are the main issuing destinations. tourists to Morocco.
